This welding and metal fabrication class is the same course that has been previously offered by San Dieguito Community Education. The SDA metal shop helps long-time instructor, Bob Krough, expose students to welding and other authentic manufacturing processes. Topics include:
Students will also learn fabrication math, specialty certifications, fabrication skills, job steps from start to finish, tacking, squaring, order of welding, and basic critical thinking.

Tuition is FREE through the DOL funded America’s Promise Grant. Note: A $150 charge to cover administrative costs will be collected upon registration.

These courses are for enrichment purposes. Although you will learn a number of things about metal, welding, and/or fabrication, these courses are not designed to prepare you for immediate employment within advanced manufacturing.
Nick has been in the welding industry for over 7 years as a quality control manager and inspector. He holds his AWS CWI and consults for new contracts in regards to welder qualifications and welding procedures. He has been acting QC for LA City Certified Fabricator with MWS/Sheet Steel/Reinforcing endorsements.
We offer information sessions for many of our job training programs. The information session offers you the opportunity to learn all about the programs in a relaxed environment.
