about the engineering technician program

Engineering technology, or mechatronics, integrates theory and application in the areas of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, fluid power, robotics and automation, and programming. Our program is designed around the changing skills and training demanded by area manufacturers. All topics covered during lecture are explored in more depth during the lab portion of each class. The wide range of equipment utilized in our lab gives students an opportunity to train, repair, and troubleshoot industry-relevant tools and equipment.  Students who attend will experience an accelerated program, designed to quickly prepare them to meet the skill sets that will qualify graduates to move right into an entry-level technician position.
