about the introduction to electromechanics course

Electromechanical technicians combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits. They install, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade electronic and computer-controlled mechanical systems. In this 60-hour course, students will learn about mechanical systems: solder small electrical boards build, program and operate a 3D printer, troubleshoot a copier and more.

meet your instructor

Jack Abram
Instructor

Jack has degrees in business management and laser technology. He has spent more than 15 years working with optical manufacturing in San Diego. He has experience in tooling design and qualification, manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing, quality management systems and technical writing. He has led lean efforts in many aspects of optical system manufacture from fabrication and assembly through integration and testing of flight worthy optical systems. He has designed, programmed and machined precision tooling and deliverable hardware. Jack also enjoyed sharing and developing training methods and materials to assist others wishing to gain knowledge pertinent to science and manufacturing career paths.
