MiraCosta College’s Technology Career Institute (TCI) is part of MiraCosta College’s Community Education & Workforce Development department. We offer our local community members the opportunity to enhance their lives and their careers with low cost, hassle-free classes, workshops and programs. From enrichment classes to job training programs, we provide the types of classes that make it easy for you to reach your goals, no matter what age. All of our programs and classes are fee based and not-for-credit.

MiraCosta College has developed a close partnership with the San Diego Maritime Alliance to help promote Blue Tech jobs in the San Diego Region. The 10th annual BlueTech Week, happening the first week of November, is a networking conference that connects senior officials, educators, students, and employers from around the world who are looking for innovative solutions and collaborative opportunities for business development, economic development, and workforce development in a sustainable Blue Economy. The Blue Economy includes both traditional maritime industries and innovative BlueTech sectors such as alternatives to fishing and netting gear, biomimicry and biomedicine, electrification of marine vessels, maritime robotics, offshore renewable energy, remotely operated vehicles and sustainable seafood.
